Ingredients

Balti curry paste:

Coriander seeds 2 TBP
Fennel seeds 1 TSP
Mustard seeds 1 TSP
Fenugreek seeds 1 TSP
Bay leef 1 Pc
Cardamom seeds 1/2 TSP
Cinnamon stick 1 Pc
     Turmeric powder 1/2 TSP
     Cumin powder 1 TSP
     Paprika powder 1 TSP
     Ginger powder 1 TSP
     Red Chilli powder 1 TSP
Vinegar 1 TBS
Cooking oil 1-2 TBS

Other Ingredients

Onions 1 medium
Tomatoes
2-3 medium
Ginger garlic Paste
1 TBS
Chicken
1/2 KG
Lemon Juice
1-2 TBS
Dried fenugreek 1 TSP
Coriander Leaves 3-4 leaves

*(TBS= Tablespoon ; TSP= Teaspoon)
**Take the amounts of the ingredients from the above list as given.

Method (Steps)

#1. Prepare the Balti curry paste

First we have to prepare the actual seasoner for the balti chicken. Grind the ingredient as given above(till cinnamon stick on list). A grinded powder will be prepared in which you will add all the powders(given above as indented). Now add vinegar and oil 1 TBS each. Mix well and balti curry paste is ready. You can store it in the refrigerator for about 6 weeks.

#2.  Prepare the Chicken curry

Take a pan and add in 2-3 TBS cooking oil. Add the onion and Ginger garlic paste. Saute until light brown(shown above).

Now add in the Chicken and fry it also until light brown(shown above).

Add in the tomatoes(finely chopped) afterwards and add Salt 1 TSP or to taste. Add in the Balti Curry paste 1&1/2 TBS.  

Mix it well and cover & cook for 8-10 min on low flame.

#3. Add lemon juice and kasuri methi

Finally add in the  Lemon juice  and the Dried fenugreek leaves in the given amounts above. For last just simmer for about 1-2 mins.

#4. Final touches

For last touches just add some finely chopped Coriander leaves(without tails) and some chili to spice up the taste.
